Hero Walk Moto GP Barcelona

The following information is based on my experience during the MONSTER ENERGY GRAND PRIX OF CATALUNYA 2026.

What is the Moto GP Hero Walk?

Riders walk through a controlled area. Fans can get close to the riders to ask for autographs, take selfies, and hand them items to sign.

How does the Hero Walk work during the Moto GP Barcelona?

You need a Moto GP ticket for the specific day, be a Circuit Member of Circuit de Catalunya and some luck for a chance to get a Hero Walk ticket. Then, on the day of the Hero Walk queue up as early as you can and be very patient.

Where does Hero Walk take place in the Circuit the Cataluyna?

Inside the paddock of the Circuit de Cataluyna but on the outer edge with strictly controlled access and clear directions by personell. You will not be able to see much from the Paddock as the Hero Walk is strategically situated to protect it. In 2026 the queue for the Moto GP Riders started with opening of the gates to the circuit. And roughly an hour before the Hero Walk on Sunday the queue was already super long. The access was next to the bridge connecting the General Admission area between turn 9 and 12.

What time does the Moto GP Hero Walk happen in Barcelona?

Saturday usually features Moto3™ and Moto2™ riders. On Sunday it is the turn of the MotoGP™ class riders usually after the Fan Parade. Just pay attention to the schedule in the Moto GP app and the Social Media account of the circuit.

Which Riders attend the Hero Walk?

Technically, all riders are supposed to show up during their time slot. The exception is if they are injured. There might be other reasons why a rider doesn’t show up.

How long does the Hero Walk last?

The Moto 2 Hero Walk and Moto 3 Hero Walk happen at the same time and the Riders are supposed to show their physical presence in a time window of 30 minutes. It is usally very chill and way less hectic especially if you are not focusing on local riders or the big names. The riders usually try and fulfill all the requests. The Moto GP Hero Walk is usually limited to 20 minutes max. and most riders are gone after a required attendance of 10 Minutes. It is very hectic and if you don’t get a first or second row position you might not as well go there for autographs. It is fun to see the madness from the outside but dedication and patience is required for front rows. Young kids usually have their own separated area with a higher chance of actually meeting the top riders directly.

How do I get access to the Hero Walk at Barcelona?

In addition to your Moto GP ticket for that specific day you also needed a specific Hero Walk ticket. In Barcelona only Circuit Membership Holders were able to enter a “lottery” system several weeks before the event with a chance to obtain a ticket for either the Moto 2&3 Hero Walk on Saturday or the Moto GP Hero Walk on Sunday. The lottery date was announced globally via Social Media and via Email to the circuit members.

Is the Hero Walk at Barcelona worth it?

If you are a Circuit member I would definitely try obtaining a ticket. If you actually want a photograph with the most sought after riders like Marc Marquez be early and very patient. You will have to sacrifice track action for a decent chance of a brief interaction with a rider. Overall, I would say that the Moto GP Hero Walk in Barcelona is too hectic and with too many people and even the less popular riders are highly sought after. The Moto 2&3 Hero Walk on the other hand is a decent experience and you have a good chance of meeting and interacting with future superstars in a genuine way.

Are there any other opportunities to meet the Riders up close in Barcelona?

Yes, in Barcelona there were several opportunities during 2025 and 2026.

Firstly, there was a Fan Zone in the center of Placa Catalunya and some riders appeared on stage there. They were interviewed and some of them signed some items for the fans. You have to follow the official Social Media accounts of the circuit to find the exact schedule and potential rider appereances as it varies from year to year. For Barcelona you have a high chance of seeing mainly Spanish riders on stage from all the different Moto classes. This happens before Friday of the Race week. It was Wednesday or Thursday if I remember correctly.

Secondly, riders appear for Interviews in the Fan Zone. This is year there was a session on the Monster Stage featuring riders from the same Sponsor.

Thirdly, specific riders might offer more personal meetups at a local dealership or local sponsor. You basically have to follow them and their team on Social Media to see when an event like this happens. However, this is mostly for specific teams or riders and usually overlaps with other opportunities to see other riders.

Another option is the Paddock access via Two Wheels for life. This will not guarantee a meeting with a rider but gives you a paid opportunity for an exclusive chance.
